First NFT Marketplace on the IC

One of the core concepts of Exponent, the NFT platform that we are building, is the ability for exchanges to occur natively. We don’t think an exchange should require the movement of tokens, but should be built into token contracts just like the ability to “transfer”.

Users should be able to create an order for exchange/swap from their wallets, which is then matched against existing orders or stored for a future swap. This removes the need for a middleman exchange, and allows for on-chain settlement to occur without the need of separate frontends. DEX’s and liquidity pools can still exist, but instead act as more of a vanity service than a utility service. This is a big advantage of EXT, the token standard that we are building.

With all of this, we welcome you to try our first iteration of the eDEX protocol working with the Cronics NFT canister. You can list your Cronic NFTs for sale directly from your wallet, and buy them from the Marketplace (accessed via Stoic). www.StoicWallet.com

Selling your Cronic NFT on the Marketplace

You can sell directly by going into your wallet, select the “NFTs” box and finding the Cronic you want to sell from the list. Click the store icon, and set your price for sale.

If you want to cancel your listing, simply click the store icon again and hit “Cancel Listing”.

Listings can’t be cancelled if a buyer has hit buy now and locked the listing.

Once a sale is made, any funds will be sent to your Main account. This can take up to a minute to process.

Buying a Cronic NFT on the Marketplace

Browse the Cronics within the Marketplace option (down the left side of the page). If you find one you like, hit Buy Now! Complete the payment and the Cronic NFT will be sent to the wallet you paid from.

All transactions are final when made, and can not be reversed!
